Kao is extending Curél’s European footprint into four Northern European markets, following recent launches in the Netherlands, France, and Germany.
Japanese cosmetics group Kao is expanding Curél into Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland as it continues the skincare brand’s international rollout.
Curél will become available across the four markets from September 2026. The move follows the brand’s UK launch in 2019, entries into Germany and France in 2025, and launches in Brazil and the Netherlands in May 2026.

The brand is positioned around dry and sensitive skin care, with products focused on supporting the skin barrier and using Kao’s proprietary biomimetic ceramide technology.
Kao says Curél has performed strongly in existing European markets. In the UK, the company reported that retail sales increased by 24% from the beginning of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier.
The Nordic and Finnish launch represents another step in Curél’s broader European expansion and follows Dewsia’s earlier coverage of the brand’s entry into the Netherlands.
